Day 2 White Lies - Farewell to the Fairground “This place used to gleam I’d see it in my hopeful dreams, now I have to get away. We move towards the stars and all that we touch becomes ours. Let’s keep warm ‘til it’s day. Farewell to the fairground. These rides aren’t working anymore. Goodbye to this dead town, until the ice begins to thaw.” Everything about this song is fantastic to me, the video, the lyrics, EVERYTHING! Not to mention White Lies is one of my favorite bands right now. This picture was taken in my garage with my D5000. :)

Day 2

Day 3 The Smiths - Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What “Good times for a change. See, the luck I’ve had can make a good man turn bad. So please, please, please, let me, let me, let me, let me get what I want this time. Haven’t had a dream in a long time. See, the life I’ve had can make a good man bad. So, for once in my life let me get what I want. Lord knows, it would be the first time. Lord knows, it would be the first time.” I used to refuse to listen to The Smiths based on some kind of weird concept I had (pretty sure it came from Pineapple Express haha) but then I had a change of heart! This song is on two of my favorite movies and I decided to post it, and in my top three! This picture was taken in an old warehouse with my D5000! :)

Day 4 Neutral Milk Hotel - Gardenhead/Leave Me Alone “Follow me through a city of frost-covered angels. I swear I have nothing to prove, I just want to dance in your tangles, to give me some reason to move. But to take on the world at all angles requires a strength I can’t use, so I’ll meet you up high in your anger of all that is hoping and waiting for you.” I kind of became obsessed with Neutral Milk Hotel last year and I went and got all of their albums, which there are like a million of them, and this song is probably my favorite! This picture was taken inside of an old warehouse with my D5000! :)

And we won’t stop until it’s over, won’t stop to surrender. Songs of desperation, I played them for you. A moment, a love, a dream, a laugh, a kiss, a cry, our rights, our wrongs. A moment, a love, a dream, a laugh, a moment, a love a dream, a laugh.” This song is beautiful and it reminds me of a good kiss, which can be equally as beautiful. Aannndd that all seems silly but it’s the truth, to me anyway. I think this song is perfect and I love it for a lot of reasons. This picture was taken with my D5000 on the island if St. John USVI. I’m also not sure why I chose them to go together but it seems to be working. Ha! :)

7 Days Old Crow Medicine Show - Wagon Wheel “Headed down south to the land of the pines and I’m thumbin’ my way into North Caroline. Starin’ up the road, pray to God I see headlights… So rock me, mama, like a wagon wheel rock me, mama, any way you feel. Hey, mama rock me. Rock me, mama, like the wind and the rain. Rock me, mama, like a south-bound train. Hey, mama rock me.” This song has always hit a special with me. I’ve herd it performed by so many people, and I can always count on it to pick me up during a nice long car ride. If I get old, old fashioned, would you get old, old fashioned with me?” Got to see these guys live and they looked like they were having a blast on stage! I loved every minute of it.
